BUDAPEST, Hungary, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Graphisoft(R), developer of ArchiCAD(R) the award winning Virtual Building(TM) solution, today announced that its board of directors has appointed Viktor Varkonyi as the company's new chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Dominic Gallello, who has served as CEO for the past five years, is handing over the helm to Viktor Varkonyi.

Viktor Varkonyi comes from Graphisoft's Product Group, where he was responsible for driving all product strategy and engineering activities.

Viktor Varkonyi joined Graphisoft in 1992 as a software engineer. He has continued to deliver breakthrough technologies, including a globally unique 3D editing environment for model-based design software in 1998. He has held various executive positions at Graphisoft and most recently led the company's product development. Varkonyi holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Budapest University of Technology.
