Digital Data Services, Inc. Awarded Contract with the State of Colorado

November 4th, 2009 -- Lakewood, CO -- Digital Data Services, Inc. (DDS) announced that it has been awarded a contract with the State of Colorado Department of Natural Resources-Colorado Geological Survey (CGS) for data conversion and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data delivery. Under the agreement, DDS will scan, georeference, digitize, and attribute 569 hard-copy maps showing coal mine boundaries, subsidence hazard boundaries, and mine contours. The delivered data will be used to assist CGS geologists working on geologic hazards and land use projects, helping local governments (city/county) with their subdivision development planning decisions, and to create maps and data sets concerning historic coal mines in the State.
