Cyprus University of Technology was founded in 2003, welcoming its first students in 2007. Focusing on applied research, the University supports the state’s science and technology needs. The University exploits complex acquisition, analysis, elaboration and interpretation techniques for qualitative and quantitative information derived from 2D and 3D geographic information. Applications range from topographic, hydrographic, geodetic and geophysical surveys, remote sensing and geographical information systems (GIS) for local and regional planning, environmental monitoring, archaeology and coastal management.
