A promising technology collaboration for municipal geomatics!

Montreal, March 3rd, 2009 – KHEOPS Technologies is announcing that their Vice-President of Technologies and R&D Director, Jean-Robert Desbiens-Haddad has been nominated as Liaison officer for the JMap Users alliance, namely the RUJ (Regroupement des Utilisateurs de JMap).

By nominating Jean-Robert we are assured of taking a major step forward with the RUJ so that the evolution of JMap technology will concur with the concerns of municipal representatives and benefit municipal geomatics in Quebec and worldwide. - Jacques Charron, President of KHEOPS.

The RUJ, pronounced (ru-jee), has taken wing due to the common and dynamic vision of the participants within the alliance, which now counts many members associated with the municipal field. On October 17th, 2008, in Shawinigan, a general assembly was held in order to elect the new President, Isabelle Forgues (City of Shawinigan) and Secretary, Normand Vachon (City of Saguenay).

KHEOPS, the publisher of the JMap technology whose mission is to democratize geospatial information, is proud of its strong presence within the municipal domain and throughout various municipalities as well as the companies and the partners who interact with them. Furthermore, KHEOPS continues to widen its municipal offer by providing various solutions such as : management of numerised paper blueprints, tracking of snow removal equipment, follow-up of operations, etc.

In conclusion, KHEOPS wishes to thank all the members who are contributing to the success of this partnership: Amos, Rouyn-Noranda, Shawinigan, Saguenay, Trois-Rivières, Montréal, St-Eustache, Repentigny, Terrebonne, Blainville and the MRC of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
