With Allplan, BIM is part of day-to-day work: At BAU 2017, Allplan will show how BIM really works in practice

Oct 18, 2016 -- At BAU 2017 in Munich from 16 - 21 January 2017, Allplan will be showcasing its complete solution portfolio for all phases in the life cycle of a building, with the focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM). The portfolio extends from the CAD solution Allplan for architects and engineers, solutions for building cost management and the management of buildings for facility managers right through to the open cloud solution bim+ for BIM managers and BIM coordinators and innovative partner applications. In Hall C3 Stand 320, visitors can discover how Allplan helps all members of a project team to apply the BIM working method efficiently and create added value. Thanks to Allplan Architecture, Allplan Engineering and bim+ model-based collaboration between everyone involved in a project is more simple and reliable than ever before.

“BIM brings people, processes and tools together in a target-oriented manner and creates added value – everywhere in the life cycle of a building. At BAU, we will show how this has already been achieved with our solutions reliably and easily in day-to-day work,” says Markus Tretheway, Vice President Product Management at Allplan, “because with Allplan, BIM is part of day-to-day work.”

Execute building projects successfully with bim+

The open cloud solution bim+ ensures that models and data from a wide variety of systems can be managed centrally. As a result, coordination across office, discipline and software boundaries is far easier than before. Everyone involved in a building project can access the current planning status via bim+ at any time and from any place. Thanks to the new touch interface, the performance of bim+ on all smartphones and tablets has been improved. The planning data can therefore be accessed easily and reliably directly on the construction site, for example. This creates transparency and ensures that the planning quality and schedule are adhered to.

Apply BIM effectively with Allplan 2017

At the trade show, Allplan will also be highlighting cross-discipline collaboration with Allplan 2017: “The latest version of our powerful CAD solution Allplan takes another big step toward a fully digitized working method that creates even more flexibility and precision for architects and civil engineers,” says Markus Tretheway. For example as a result of the new Task Board in Allplan 2017, which allows tasks to be clearly assigned in the project team and their completion tracked with ease. Or the limitless 3D modeling of solids, freeform solids and components. Allplan 2017 also supports the export of BIM models in the new IFC4 format, which significantly improves smooth interaction with other design and construction software, and greatly reduces information loss.
