Alliance for American Manufacturing Welcomes Authors and Graphic Recorder during IMTS

AAM hosts Monday book signings and daily interactive mural design

Sep 8, 2016 -- International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) attendees can stop by the Alliance for American Manufacturing booth on Sept. 12 to receive a free signed copy of Remaking America, which outlines the meaningful policy changes needed to position American manufacturing for a competitive future.

Visitors also can share their own ideas for manufacturing throughout the conference, set to run through Sept. 16, with the help of graphic recorder Greg Gersch.

“Manufacturing is at the heart of America’s economy,” said Scott Paul, AAM president. “I hope people will visit our booth to celebrate our country’s rich production history and to discover ways we can ensure a growing sector for the future.”

AAM, a non-profit, non-partisan partnership, will host Paul and Harry Moser, founder of the Reshoring Initiative and retired president of AgieCharmilles, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12 at AAM booth #NC-273. Both authored and will be signing free copies of “ReMaking America,” which makes the case for thinking beyond fast fixes to enact meaningful policy change that will position American manufacturing for a sustainable, competitive future.

“This volume illustrates that American manufacturing is rising from the ashes,” Paul said. “But it will take political insight and courage among our nation’s leaders to seize this moment of great opportunity – before our global competitors out-invest and out-build us.”

AAM will also take a look at manufacturing with renown graphic recorder Greg Gersch. As the creative director of Eyebeam Creative and owner of GregGersch.com, Gersch has worked with some of the world’s top organizations to visualize processes, concepts and ideas. Booth visitors will be able to experience Gersch’s work first-hand by responding to daily questions and having their answers integrated into a mural. Questions include:

In addition to Gersch’s daily murals, the AAM booth will provide a lounge area and information surrounding manufacturing myths.
