AIA Releases Diversity in the Profession of Architecture Survey

Mar 7, 2016 --  A survey of more than 7,500 professionals examines the impact of basic demographics such as race, ethnicity and gender on the success in the field of architecture.  The purpose is to investigate the careers of diverse architects beginning in college, examining how firm culture affects their career objectives and what type of practices minority architects are working in.  

Key findings in survey:

Representation be gender and race
Reported challenges to career advancement
Work life balance impact on representation of women
Factors impacting representation of minorities
Reasons for leaving the field
Job satisfaction levels
