IMIA announces Bennett Moe as new President

MISSION VIEJO, CALIFORNIA, Nov 5, 2015 — The International Map Industry Association (IMIA) has announced the election of Bennett Moe, Director of Education with Maps.com, as the new President of IMIA Americas Board of Directors effective September 29, 2015 at the annual conference. Highly respected in the arenas of cartography and educational publishing, he will oversee the direction of North American centric activities for IMIA. 

John Glanville (Maps.com Chairman and CEO) was quick to express his delight at the news of Moe’s election. “His wealth of knowledge and experience especially in the field of innovative geospatial technology positions him perfectly to lead the organization in an industry faced with challenges and opportunities in equal measure.” 

Formerly with MapQuest and GeoNova, Moe currently spearheads Maps.com’s efforts in education, where the company acts both as a publisher of innovative supplemental K-16 learning products and as a content and application creator for leading curriculum publishers across all media.
