Jun 24, 2015 -- Sewall’s Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting group is pleased to welcome Joshua O’Neill as Natural Resource Analyst/Forester. Mr. O’Neill comes to us with six field seasons’ experience in forest inventory and three years analyzing GIS, forest health, forest structure, and energy data.
Mr. O’Neill will assist Sewall clients who require forest inventory services and spatial information management for due diligence and ongoing management activities. He will provide support to various projects that include forest inventory, natural resource appraisal, forest management, and research. He will also work with Sewall’s GIS team in developing geospatial solutions for natural resource managers.
Mr. O’Neill studied forestry and GIS at the University of Vermont, and earned his M.F. in Forest Health and GIS from the University of California at Berkeley. He has held research positions with the University of Vermont and University of Washington where he studied maple syrup production and forest health, respectively. Mr. O’Neill has received awards for academic achievement and forest management research. Before joining Sewall, he worked as a GIS consultant.
