Excellicon's Exceptions-Toolbox provides an innovative approach to solving comprehensive validation of all timing exceptions

May 27, 2015 - Laguna Hills, CA -- Excellicon Inc. an innovative provider of end-to-end timing constraints products announced release of its latest product “Exceptions Toolbox” for automated validation of timing exceptions of structural as well as timing intent class of false and multi-cycle paths. The users of Excellicon products can now very simply and automatically validate their existing timing exceptions comprehensively.

Exceptions Toolbox (ET) unleashes the true power of formal analysis combined with proprietary Excellicon’s patent pending algorithms to validate both structural and timing intent based FP and MCP's for both for RTL and Gates.

Majority of the exceptions in a timing constraints files are what is considered timing-intent exceptions, more than 80% of the exceptions are of timing intent type. This class of exceptions are based on designers intent capturing the designer knowhow and impossible to verify with existing tools.

“Existing constraints verification tools can only verify and/or generate structural exceptions using formal algorithms. Timing intent exceptions cannot be verified using formal algorithms. As a result, designers invariably have to rely on visual inspection of these exceptions, and do not have a unified method of verifying all types of exceptions in a single tool” said Himanshu Bhatnagar, CEO of Excellicon. “We believe with our latest offering of Exceptions Toolbox we can plug yet another gap in generation and validation of end-to-end timing constraints in a single unified environment consisting of Excellicon products while providing a path to consolidation of timing constraints data in a single database.

Exceptions Toolbox offering will position Excellicon as the only company which can validate both the structural as well as the timing intent class of exceptions in a unified toolbox thus ensuing complete coverage of the timing constraints files. Exceptions Toolbox will be available immediately as an add-on to ConCert product; ConCert-ET.
