WGDC2015: How to Build a New Geo-ecosystem?

May 4, 2015 -- Jason Liu, founder and CEO of 3sNews, revealed that one of the main topics of this year’s World Geospatial Developer Conference will be how to build a new Geo-ecosystem in China.

“Cross-industry collaboration is a trendy thing. A brand new Geo-ecosystem consisting of traditional enterprises, innovative start-ups and cross-cutting companies of all kinds of scale are gradually taking shape.” Jason told 3sNews. “In this new ecosystem, innovative start-ups are a fierce force. The vital key to a healthy system is for all to find their befitting positions and develop favorable cooperation and competition.”

The fourth World Geospatial Developer Conference will be held in National Convention Center in Beijing, China on 10-11th June. They are expecting over 6000 attendees from home and abroad this year.

According to the conference schedule, there will be a main venue, 8 sub-forums and over 100 seminars. The topics include UAV, micro-satellite, innovative means of surveying and mapping, telematics, venture capital and so on. Jason said, “The conference is seeking international cooperation, we are expecting some foreign minds to brainstorm with us.”

Since 2012, WGDC has been hailed as the most influential gathering in geospatial industry. Why is that? Jason shared with us his opinions.

First of all, WGDC is an innovative weather vane with foresight. You can find the latest products, technologies and business models in WGDC. Industry leaders and promising start-ups together help our delegates and attendees foresee the industry trend.

Secondly, WGDC is an important platform for corporations from home and abroad, different industries to converse about business proposals and discuss about future collaborations. It helps our attendees find its partners and customers.

Lastly, WGDC has a trans-boundary spirit. It dares to break through traditions by inviting non-geospatial industries to understand and experience the massive potential and value that geospatial information could bring.

On the other hand, Taibo Intelligence will make its premiere at WGDC2015. Taibo Intelligence is the first research agency which specializes in geospatial business analysis and service, aiming to provide GIOs (Geospatial Information Officers) with systematic, consistent and timely intelligence and service of most value. GIO is group of industry leaders who are most acute to industry changes and who desire most for innovation.

Jason also mentioned, Taibo Intelligence will reveal TOP 50 geospatial companies alongside with world geospatial developers in WGDC2015, TOP 100 list by the end of the year.
