Online experience "Our .GIFs to You" helps BNO reach goal for donation to NJ-based Veteran's Haven North

SOMERVILLE, N.J., Feb. 27, 2015 — (PRNewswire) — On February 10th, Baldwin & Obenauf (BNO) President Trista Walker, Senior Vice President George Jackus, and retired owner Mark Baldwin met with Facility Superintendent Sean VanLew (above) at Veteran's Haven North in Glen Gardner, NJ, to present a $1,000 donation.

In the weeks leading up to their visit, the agency also worked to raise awareness by populating a microsite with lighthearted .GIF animations of staff members. Clients, friends, and family members were invited to share the cause across social media, and each animation they "liked" was matched with $1 towards BNO's overall goal.

"With 'Our .GIFs to You' we were able not only to meet our donation goal, but also to give lots of different people an opportunity to learn about the vital services Veteran's Haven North provides for veterans every day," remarked Senior Vice President George Jackus.

Operated by the State of New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Veteran's Haven North—"The Rally Point"—offers a transitional housing program, which helps homeless veterans reach an optimal level of independence and aids them in re-acquiring the skills necessary to assimilate back into civilian life.

"The owners and management of BNO have family ties to the military stretching back generations," notes President Trista Walker, "and this is one way in which we felt we could say 'Thank you' to veterans for their service to our country."

"Donations we receive from companies like BNO go a long way toward improved quality of life for our resident veterans," Facility Superintendent Sean VanLew explained. "This donation will help to fund a trip to the Statue of Liberty this spring."

Along with benefits like these, donations can also provide additional services and supplies as well as supplement the facility's Wish List. Anyone wishing to know more about Veteran's Haven North, or to make donations to their good works, is encouraged to contact Superintendent Sean VanLew at:
