TM Forum’s Digital Disruption 2013 Catalyst Projects Demonstrate Digital Services Lifecycle

TM Forum members take on the challenges of SDN, smart grid, digital health, CEM, cyber security and more with live demonstrations supported by companies: AT&T, Cisco, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, IBM, Microsoft, Northrop Grumman, Orange, Telefonica, among others

MORRISTOWN, N.J. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 7, 2013 — As industries converge and transform in the digital world, their journey is fraught with challenges—from how to innovate, design and build new services quickly, to how to operate them effectively and most importantly, monetize them. At Digital Disruption 2013, TM Forum’s renowned Catalyst demonstration projects showcase how the Forum’s work is being leveraged to create innovative solutions for smart grid, digital health, cyber security, enterprise services and more. Some of the world’s largest companies are involved in the projects, including: AT&T, Cisco Systems, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, IBM, Microsoft, Northrop Grumman, Orange, Telefonica, among others.

TM Forum’s Catalyst projects are rapid collaborative projects driven by Forum member companies. In just four months, enterprises, service providers and suppliers work together to create proof-of-concept solutions for today’s most pressing business, operational and IT challenges. Their work ultimately develops and enhances the Forum’s Frameworx suite of best practices and standards, helping the Forum’s 900-plus members reduce cost, risk and time-to-market.

TM Forum’s Digital Disruption (San Jose, Calif., Oct. 28-31) features 10 Catalyst projects in the TM Forum Zone, the place to explore everything the Forum has to offer. Within this zone, attendees can explore and network with companies from across the digital ecosystem, and see breakthrough demonstrations and the latest work underway at the Forum.

Two enterprise digital services scenarios demonstrate delivery in several different software defined networking (SDN) environments and a bank- and vendor-created platform that enables legacy applications to be sold on-demand using SDN technology.
