Digital Design Folder from Nemetschek Allplan for presenting CAD projects in 3D

Germany/Munich, June 24, 2013 – The digital design folder created with Nemetschek Allplan’s BIM software encompasses all the elements of a building project clearly and compactly in a single file. Users integrate drawings, views, visualizations, reports, 3D models as well as color, lighting and furnishing concepts as required in the interactive 3D-PDF, and thus obtain a professional presentation in a standard PDF format.

With digital design folders, architects and engineers can provide their clients and potential customers with meaningful, visualized planning documents and thus avoid misunderstandings or design errors. They create their drawings, views, reports and 3D models as usual in Allplan and then merge all the documents in a single, interactive 3D-PDF – the digital design folder – in Adobe Acrobat® Xl. For example, in order to win over a new client or to demonstrate the level of progress in a running project.

The architect and developer behind the digital design folder, Stephan Prietzel, says: “As a trainer and consultant, I realized that in a lot of offices 3D-PDF is an important file format for communicating with building clients. In live demos held for potential clients, they have also always shown interest and been impressed”.
