Advanced manufacturing expo partners with PACKEX Montreal

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 9, 2012 — (PRNewswire) — �International event organizer UBM Canon brings its Design & Manufacturing event to Montreal, Quebec, November 14-15, 2012, at the Palais des Congres. It will co-locate with PACKEX Montreal, the long-running packaging industry show first launched in 1951, in conjunction with PAC, the Packaging Association of Canada. Along with PACKEX Montreal and Design & Manufacturing Montreal, ExpoPlast, for the plastics industry, ATX (Automation Technology Expo) Montreal, AeroCon (presenting suppliers for the aerospace and aviation industries, and PTX (Process Technology Expo) Montreal round out the comprehensive event.

To meet the needs of Quebec's strong manufacturing sector, which has a gross domestic product of $301 billion, these exhibitions will bring together hundreds of exhibitors from all over the Province, as well as from other Provinces and the United States. Design & Manufacturing Montreal also features Contract Manufacturing Expo. This is the start of the biennial event in Montreal, which returns in 2014. In alternating years, these trade shows will take place in Toronto, Ontario, with next year's event, May 14-16, 2013, at the Toronto Congress Centre.

In addition to the exhibitions in each of these manufacturing sectors, those attending in Montreal can take advantage of conference sessions on packaging, presented by PAC, and sessions on plastics, presented by SPE, The Society of Plastics Engineers-Quebec section. Also, the Innovation Briefs Theater, taking place on the exhibit hall floor, will present informative technology sessions by industry leaders, free of charge.
