TerraEchos Solution for Managing 'Tsunami' of MASINT Data Fetaured in Esri Defense/Intelligence Podcast

Missoula, Montana, 28 September 2011 – TerraEchos Inc., a leading provider of covert intelligence and surveillance sensor solutions, has been featured in a four-part Podcast available online in Esri’s Defense and Intelligence Showcase. In the Podcast, TerraEchos CEO Dr. Alex Philp discusses how the Adelos S4® solution leverages Streaming technologies to collect, process, analyze and transmit massive volumes of high velocity data in milliseconds for surveillance and intelligence solutions.

Hosted by Fred Woods, Esri’s Defense Marketing Manager, the Podcasts are available online at http://www.esri.com/industries/defense/community/partner-showcase.html. The four-part series may be downloaded to an MP3 device or listened to online.

“As an Esri Business Partner, we rely heavily on Esri technology to provide the underlying geospatial functionality in Adelos S4 and other TerraEchos solutions,” said Dr. Philp.

Esri will follow up the Podcast series with an Adelos S4 webinar.

Adelos S4 is a sensor system that harvests digital acoustic readings from miles of buried fiber-optic cable and correlates these data with data streaming from diverse sensor sources such as security cameras and satellites. Using a technique dubbed ‘big data-in-motion analytics’, the system processes an enormous volume of high-variability, high-velocity data to detect, locate and classify potential threats. Adelos S4 utilizes a variety of underlying technologies including IBM InfoSphere Streams for real-time analytical processing.
