LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 2, 2011 –The Louisville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), contract Spatial Data Integrations, Inc. (SDI) to design and develop a spatial database to be used for maintaining information and status of personnel within the Deployment Information Management System.
The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers has an ongoing mission to assist in rebuilding infrastructures in support of the Overseas Contingency Operation (OCO). Civilian employees are vital to the success of this mission and the USACE‘s objective is to ensure that qualified civilian employees are available in adequate numbers and with the skill sets to meet worldwide mission requirements during periods of national emergency, mobilization, war, military crisis or other contingencies.
SDI will design and develop a MS SQL Server spatial database, which will simplify the Louisville District’s existing procedures and enable achievement of their long term goals for storage, access, reporting and mapping of personnel within the Deployment Information Management System. The solution will provide controlled access to accurate information and make available the ability to retrieve both active and historical information on the fly.
