SolidProfessor Releases New Hands-On SolidWorks Tutorials

San Diego, CA – Mar. 1, 2011 — SolidProfessor, the leader in video training and tutorials for SolidWorks, announced today that it has released a new series of hands-on tutorials for SolidWorks 2011.

SolidProfessor adds to its library of concept based instruction for SolidWorks with a suite of hands-on, project-based tutorials featuring real-world designs and mechanisms. Each case study includes instructions and PDF files so users can try the design on their own, and each is followed up with video lessons that demonstrate each step for creating them in SolidWorks.

Drew Adams, Product Development Manager at SolidProfessor comments “Concept-based instruction has some distinct advantages for learning SolidWorks, so users can really understand how the software works. With the addition of these project-based case studies, users can take their knowledge and understanding to the next level by applying their skills on real-world examples that everyone can relate to.”

Examples of SolidProfessor case studies range from household mechanisms, such as a door latch, to the complex geometry found in consumer products, such as a detergent bottle or energy-efficient light bulb.

SolidProfessor’s hands-on case studies have been developed for beginner through advanced SolidWorks users, and are available with SolidProfessor Basic through Premium products. SolidProfessor customers who are current on subscription get the case studies at no additional cost as part of their subscription.
