The new NAVIGON 20 Series models complete the new NAVIGON product portfolio perfectly: the handy 3.5-inch devices are now available in retail stores. The NAVIGON 20 Easy will appear first, shortly followed by the NAVIGON 20 Plus

Hamburg— December 6, 2010 —The NAVIGON 20 Series is the latest generation of devices to hit the shops. With its 3.5-inch display it is ideal for leisure users and pedestrians who value innovative technology and design. New to the NAVIGON product portfolio are features like the “Active Lane Assistant”, available on all devices from Easy to Premium, and even on the compact, new PNDs. A dynamic travelling animation shows users when they need to change lanes. Thanks to “TMC Routing Info” even traffic jams are no problem. The device identifies obstacles and traffic jams in good time and suggests alternative routes.

A capable companion and chic accessory in one

It fits in every bag and is the perfect device for weekend breaks or shopping trips – on foot or in the car. The clear layout is a high priority on the small NAVIGON 20 Easy: unnecessary icons and the menu bar are hidden thanks to the “One Click Menu” – increasing the size of the map section for an even better overview. In addition, with “NAVIGON MyBest POI” you can set your own special destination categories, which then appear at the upper edge of the display. Thanks to “Motion Sensor” on the NAVIGON 20 Plus, which will shortly be available in shops, the menu bar and “NAVIGON MyBest POI” can be activated without even touching the device. “Premium TMC” and “Text-to-Speech” ensure greater safety when driving. The Plus model demonstrates its qualities as a travel guide with “NAVIGON Sightseeing inspired by MERIAN scout”: it will display nearby sights of interest in full-screen mode if you wish and will also read out background information and reviews from the Merian travel guides. Both 20 Series models help day trippers find their way around the city thanks to pedestrian navigation in practical portrait format. In addition, “NAVIGON Last Mile” remembers where the vehicle has been parked and guides users to their ultimate destination on foot and then back again.
The NAVIGON 20 Easy is now available for €99. The NAVIGON 20 Plus will be in retail stores in a few weeks’ time for €129.
