ModuleWorks to show latest CAD/CAM components at Euromold

ModuleWorks, the leading supplier of CAD/CAM components for 5-Axis machining and CNC simulation, will show the latest release of its CAM components, version 2010.12 at Euromold in Frankfurt (Hall 11, Stand E102) from 1st-4th December 2010.

ModuleWorks continues to innovate with 5-Axis machining technology and will be showing the new developments including the latest techniques for 5-Axis STL mesh machining.  Recent releases have added significant STL capability extending the reach for 5-Axis machining into new applications.

ModuleWorks will also be showing how their 3-Axis and 5-Axis machining strategies can be combined for Mould and die applications. 3-5 Axis conversion of toolpaths is a common technique where the tool axis on a conventional 3-axis toolpath is titled over to allows short series cutters to be employed, giving reduced cycle times and improved surface finish.

The latest developments in CNC Simulation and toolpath verification will also be on show and these offer faster performance and better quality of the final model, especially with large toolpaths.  Dr David Plater, Technical Director for ModuleWorks, comments “Manufacturers are continuing to look to the CAM vendors to provide fast and accurate simulation and verification. Our CNC simulation and analysis tools can be combined with any CAM system to provide big productivity gains, allowing validation and optimisation to be carried out in a virtual environment.”
