MecSoft to highlight PRO/DUO software at JIMTOF exhibition in Tokyo

Irvine, CA, October  21, 2010:    MecSoft Corporation announced today that 3DS Co. Ltd, their master distributor in Japan, will be highlighting the recently released VisualMILL-for-SolidWorks PRO/DUO product at the JIMTOF exhibition in Tokyo, October 28 – November 2.

“A number of our customers use SolidWorks® for their design software and they have asked for the flexibility of programming multiple CNC machines either directly in their CAD software or in a standalone CAM package,” stated Tomohide Imada, General Manager of 3DS. “The new PRO/DUO product allows for this capability and we are pleased to be releasing it at the JIMTOF exhibition.”

Offered at a list price in the US of $6,000 (international prices will differ), the PRO/DUO configuration allows companies to have up to two networked users running VisualMILL-for-SolidWorks PRO and/or VisualMILL PRO standalone, from one security key. SolidWorks users can integrate VisualMILL-for-SolidWorks as their main CAD/CAM system, while users who are more accustomed to a standalone shop-floor or tool-room programming environment can run the standalone VisualMILL. This allows multiple operators within a company the freedom to choose their preferred programming environment.

“The manufacturing industry in Japan is highly innovative so it shouldn’t come as a surprise we decided to release our PRO/DUO product in conjunction with the JIMTOF exhibition,” stated Gerald Hiller, Director of International Sales at MecSoft. “We are very confident 3DS will do a fantastic job presenting the PRO/DUO solution to their existing customers and to prospective buyers at the show.”
