Anchorage, Alaska — October 18, 2010 — The Tatitlek Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation headquartered in Anchorage, has acquired GeoNorth, LLC, an Alaskan-based Information Technology solutions provider specializing in GIS (Geographic Information Systems), Database Management, and Web Design and Development.
Tatitlek has a worldwide presence and provides many services and products, including IT centric professional and technical services, which will be greatly enhanced by the addition of GeoNorth.
"With the strength of the GeoNorth team," Roy Totemoff, President and CEO of Tatitlek stated, "this acquisition further compliments the depth of our existing products and services. As information technology continues to be a critical component in today's competitive marketplaces, this unification truly brings opportunity to both organizations. It's a win-win-win, for our clients, our employees, and our shareholders."
"The sale of GeoNorth to Tatitlek brings with it many opportunities, both for our clients and our employees," says Brian Minster, GeoNorth's founder. "For 16 years we have successfully operated as a small company. This acquisition gives us access to more resources and markets we wouldn't necessarily have been able to penetrate before, both on a nationwide and global scale," continues Minster. "We are now positioned to take on larger projects, embrace newer technologies more quickly, and continue to provide superior service to our clients. And our employees are also exposed to greater, much broader opportunities, allowing them a chance to grow more in their respective roles as IT development professionals, and as individuals."
"Tatitlek's acquisition of GeoNorth speaks directly to our commitment to expansion through managed growth, diversification and long-term sustainment, and our commitment to our shareholders, employees, and total customer satisfaction," concludes Totemoff. "We are excited to welcome GeoNorth into the Tatitlek family."
