Sescoi is launching its
WorkNC Dental CADCAM software in the Italian market at the
38th International Expodental show in Rome, from 7th to 9th October, in collaboration with its distributor,
Taglio. Visitors to booth E26 in Pavilion 7 will be able to watch the scanning and live machining of a dental bridge implant.
WorkNC Dental is totally open dental CADCAM software, designed for the easy production of dental prostheses from scanned data, enabling dental professionals to manufacture dental restorations without specialist CNC machining knowledge. The software is now available in 7 languages including Italian. In partnership with its Italian distributor
Taglio,
Sescoi is bringing
“one button” dental CAM to Italy which, employing 500,000 people, is one of the largest dental markets in the world, and the second biggest in Europe.
Automatic wizards in
WorkNC Dental take the scanned impression and position it in the blank. Support pins are added to locate the prosthesis during machining, and nesting algorithms maximize material utilization. New features in the latest version enable the user to visualize the clamps holding the blank down, and to add engraving to identify the individual crown or bridge.
To produce the CNC code to drive the milling machine, the technician simply selects from a list of material types. These include zirconia, titanium, chrome cobalt, wax, PMMA and lithium disilicate. One mouse click then generates a safe cutting path in
5-axes to completely machine the prostheses, optimizing the tooling and the cutting process to suit the individual material.
Sescoi is working in partnership with a number of dental scanner and machine tool manufacturers to provide a choice of open dental CADCAM solutions. The cost reductions possible with this approach will enable the majority of dental laboratories and many dental clinics to take advantage of CADCAM technology.
Taglio has been supplying CADCAM software in the Italian market since 1982 and
WorkNC Dental is a valuable addition to its portfolio. Italian dental professionals will benefit from Taglio’s CNC machining experience combined with the easy to use dental CAM software developed by Sescoi. This will enable dental laboratories to raise the efficiency and quality of dental restoration production while reducing costs.
