MachineWorks is developing its tool path generation strategies further and looking to recruit

SHEFFIELD (8 July, 2010) – Sheffield-based MachineWorks Ltd, supplier of true solid-based simulation, verification and tool path software solutions, is now developing its tool path generation strategies further and looking to recruit tool path specialists to join its technical team.

Over the last 15 years MachineWorks has been supplying true solid model simulation and verification by embedding its technology in world leading CAM software and CNC machine tool control systems in order to provide integrated simulation, verification and clash detection as core functionality in its customers’ applications.

In recent years, MachineWorks has developed its own tool path generation based on proven technology. MachineWorks can now compute tool paths in an environment closely coupled with its simulation and verification libraries. These tool path generators are built with the same attention to geometric detail and accuracy that characterises its verification engines. They provide fast generation of guaranteed gouge-free tool paths, within the specified tolerance. MachineWorks strategies include Area and Rest Roughing, Water Line, Rasters, Radial and Spiral cuts, Constant Stepover, Pencil and Parallel Pencil.

“Everybody thinks of MachineWorks when they think of CNC simulation and collision avoidance systems” says Mike Nicholson, Sales & Marketing Director of MachineWorks, “but more and more people have realised that we are now providing a wider range of functionality including tool path algorithms”
