LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 1, 2010 – Spatial Data Integrations, Inc. (SDI) was selected by South Central Water Association in Terry, MS to provide GPS hardware and Ohio Rural Water Association to provide GIS data cleanup and analysis.
South Central Water Association (SCWA) had previously purchased SDI’s utility mapping solution, SDImaps, and desired to increase the accuracy of their geographic information system (GIS) by adding a Trimble GeoXH subfoot geographic positioning system (GPS) to their arsenal. SCWA’s GPS was bundled with ESRI’s ArcPad® mobile mapping software, GPScorrect, and Trimble’s GPS Analyst. This solution integrates seamlessly into their existing SDImaps software, allowing for an efficient, high-quality, turn-key solution that will provide return for years to come.
Ohio Rural Water Association (ORWA), located in Zanesville, OH, acquired the services of SDI to perform quality control check on their daily logs and repair any issues that may arise. The logs are used in the association’s MGIS™, a management tool developed by SDI that provides a spatial linkage between the daily logs and a GIS. This system allows ORWA to view and report on the water and wastewater systems that have been impacted through the National Rural Water programs funded through the USEPA.
Founded in 1994, SDI is a full service ISO 9001:2000 compliant geospatial services firm that provides a wide variety of geospatial solutions, including database design and maintenance, systems and data integration, military intelligence and homeland security, emergency management and response and application development to government, utilities and the private sector.
