While it completes the upgrade of the existing G-Map East and West U.S. software, these items have been removed from the App Store. New G-Map customers may still purchase the newly-released G-Map U.S. and Canada software. The G-Map East and West U.S. versions will be available at the App store again soon -- with the upgraded features.
The G-Map East and West U.S. upgrade contains a number of enhancements requested by customers and made possible by the latest iPhone software update. New features include:
-- TTS (Text-to-Speech)
-- Landscape or Portrait mode
-- instant access to iPhone's address book for routing destination
-- automatic resumption of music
REAL-TIME TRAFFIC TO BE AN AVAILABLE OPTION
The real-time traffic service also will be added and submitted to the App Store for approval within a few weeks. The live traffic service will be available as an in-app purchase option at a to-be-decided price, because X Road purchases the service from the third party provider.
"All the features that appear in the newly-released G-Map U.S. & Canada software, except real-time traffic, will be found in the upgraded version of G-Map US East and West, so that our early customers can take advantage of those innovations," explains Sean Lee, Marketing Director of XRoad.
