CARIS is accepting submissions for papers for its annual International User Group Conference, “CARIS 2010: Stronger Together – People, Products, Infrastructure”.

October 21, 2009 -- CARIS is accepting submissions for papers for its annual International User Group Conference, “CARIS 2010: Stronger Together – People, Products, Infrastructure”. The five-day event will be held from March 22-25, 2009 in Miami, Florida, United States.

The CARIS 2010 program will focus on core issues that relate to the innovation and integration of geospatial technologies in the areas of chart production, hydrographic survey, ports and waterways and web mapping.

Through the following paper themes, the event will expand awareness and implementation of best practices and effective solutions for data management and production performance and will solidify the role of all stakeholders in the broader marine geospatial community:

  • Bathymetric Revolutions,
  • Production Environments: Desktop versus Enterprise,
  • Ping-to-Chart,
  • Workflow Optimization,
  • Specialized Chart Products,
  • Merging Land and Sea.
