Advances in high performance situational awareness software on stand 1435

Leuven, Belgium,—September 1, 2009 — Luciad, the specialist in high performance visualization of situational awareness in Defense & Security, will be showcasing its latest advances in high performance visualization solutions for mission-critical C4ISR applications at the upcoming DSEi Global Security in Defense exhibition, London 8-11 September.

On stand 1435, Luciad will be presenting live displays of LuciadMap V9, the latest release of its software suite designed to build highly accurate situational awareness applications for network-centric C4ISR systems used with the latest Command Room displays, interactive tactical ‘touch’ panels, and on wrist computers and other mobile devices.

Visitors will discover the technology to fuse weather data, real-time unit positions, operational charts, satellite images and radar feeds into one coherent (2D or 3D) operational picture ‘on-the-fly’, that enables commanders to make instant decisions and provide fast support to field operatives.

In addition, the latest solutions for Homeland Security will be on display, showing Urban Operations and Critical Protection scenarios based on Luciad’s high performance, tile-based visualization engine for virtually unlimited datasets, bringing the controller, planner and operative’s situational awareness up to unprecedented levels.
