With the completion of NEXTMap Europe, for the first time, uniformly accurate map data is available for the entire country of Portugal, which joins nationwide datasets for 21 countries across Western Europe. “This is a ‘win-win’ situation for everyone,” said Kevin Thomas, Intermap’s vice president of marketing. “Having the most reliable and uniformly accurate elevation data of Portugal available to users of ESRI’s superior suite of geospatial software creates a unique user experience across a vast array of markets and industries.”
Under the terms of the agreement, Intermap’s existing core datasets will be made available to ESRI Portugal customers and solution providers through its headquarters in Lisbon, as well as its extensive partner network. In addition, the agreement calls for the creation of market-specific geospatial solutions optimized for use with ESRI applications.
