Geographic Information Services, Inc. Releases Data Viewer- The First in a Suite of ArcGIS Server 9.3 Flex Products

BIRMINGHAM, AL – DEC. 17, 2008 – Geographic Information Services, Inc. (GISi) is excited to announce the release of Data Viewer, the first in a suite products built using ESRI’s ArcGIS Server 9.3 technology. The products are geared to offer organizations a practical way to transition from desktop to server without ever needing a programmer.

Powered by ESRI’s ArcGIS Server and the new Flex Application Programming Interface (API), Data Viewer delivers a very easy-to-use, aesthetically appealing interface centered on a tabbed view concept. Data Viewer offers organizations the opportunity to deploy one application with multiple tabs (or views) defined by individual departments or other business requirements. Along with the core solution, a powerful configuration tool enables the capability to add/remove tabs (views), store queries, and design a personalized look and feel, literally in minutes!

In conjunction with the launch of Data Viewer, GISi is also pleased to announce the launch of our e-commerce webpage to facilitate Data Viewer’s purchase transaction. Along with access to detailed information about Data Viewer, visitors to GISi’s website ( www.gis-services.com/agsproducts) will also be able to purchase, download and install the product in a matter of minutes.

GISi will be releasing two other ArcGIS Server 9.3 Flex products, Data Download and Map Book, in early 2009. Data Download streamlines the entire data request and production process. Users can fulfill data requests via the Internet on demand (24X7) by downloading data by layer, map extent, or selected set in multiple data formats (GIS and CAD). Map Book automates the entire map book creation and production process, removing the GIS Department from the map production business. Stay tuned for the upcoming releases of both of these applications.
