SpawGlass to Replace Three Systems with CMiC's Integrated Solution

TORONTO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—March 19, 2008— CMiC, the leader in providing software solutions to the architectural, engineering and construction industry, is pleased to announce that SpawGlass, a leading general contractor, construction manager, design/builder and civil contractor in Texas, has chosen to replace their three separate systems with CMiC's integrated solution.

"We were using multiple databases for the same data and lacked collaboration between accounting and operations," said Bobby Friedel, Vice President, Finance and Administration for SpawGlass. "The company was also having issues with connectivity, integration and deployment. The solutions in place didn't provide the functionality that we needed." SpawGlass was using Shaker/COINS for accounting, The Construction Project Manager for project management and Construction Imaging Systems for invoice routing and storage. SpawGlass will replace those systems with CMiC's single product suite, which includes CMiC Enterprise, CMiC Project Management and CMiC Imaging and Workflow.

With 460 employees and an average of 40 projects ongoing throughout Texas, executives at SpawGlass were attracted to CMiC because of the integration. "CMiC has integrated project management, accounting and imaging, which is what SpawGlass needed," said Friedel. "CMiC is one source and one tool for most data and processes. CMiC will allow us to grow our business and make decisions with better access to data."

"CMiC is excited to have SpawGlass join our community of industry leaders," said Bassem Hamdy, Vice President, Solutions, CMiC. "SpawGlass recognizes that CMiC can help organizations increase productivity and enhance efficiency, which improves the bottom line."
