September 28, 2021 -- Dayton, OH – The National Frame Building Association (NFBA) is proud to announce that it is now accepting submissions for the 2021 Building of the Year awards. The submission deadline is October 15, 2021.
The Building of the Year award is recognized as among the most coveted in the frame building industry. “Previous winners are among the most prestigious names in the business, and for good reason,” says Robyn Ommen, Vice President of NFBA. “The submissions always impress, and the winners help elevate and raise greater awareness and appreciation for our industry.”
The NFBA Building of the Year Awards consists of 24 categories, along with the top prize, the Judges’ Award. The 24 categories are broken down to the Experts division, with builders of $0–6 million in annual gross volume, and Master’s division, made up of builders of over $6 million in annual gross volume. This structure allows builder member companies of comparable size to compete against each other.
The twelve award categories in each division are:
- Agricultural Storage / Workshops
- Commercial Buildings (< 5,000 SQ FT)
- Commercial Buildings (5,000 - 10,000 SQ FT)
- Commercial Buildings (> 10,000 SQ FT)
- Hobby Shops
- Horse Barns / Facilities (< 5,000 SQ FT)
- Horse Barns/Facilities (> 5,000 SQ FT)
- Institutional Buildings
- Livestock Facilities
- Residential Buildings
- Retrofitted / Remodeled Buildings
- Suburban Garages
Winners will be recognized at a prestigious awards luncheon at the annual NFBA Conference & Expo as well as featured on the Expo floor for more than 1,000 building and design professionals to view. Additionally, the winners will receive a plaque to showcase their company’s high-quality work, a feature in NFBA’s Frame Building Magazine, and recognition on NFBA's website and in special features throughout NFBA communications.
