Transforming the nation one laser pulse at a time, AXIS GeoSpatial secures a USGS Geospatial Services Contract.

Easton, Maryland – Pioneering HD-LiDAR (hi-definition lidar) since 2012, AXIS GeoSpatial LLC has been awarded a U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Geospatial Product and Services Contract (GPSC). The GPSC4 contract is a 5-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a total contract ceiling of $850,000,000.

Recognizing AXIS’ geospatial data expertise and commitment to quality, they were selected through a competitive, quality-based selection process to support the USGS 3DEP initiative to provide high-quality light detection and ranging (lidar) data for the conterminous United States (CONUS), Hawaii, and the U.S. territories.

To meet the growing mapping needs for various Federal and State agencies, local governments, and individual customers, AXIS will be providing airborne lidar acquisition and processing, high resolution topographic product generation, elevation-derived hydrography and hydro-related elevation product generation, conflation and ingestion of hydrography related data into the National Hydrography Database (NHD) and/or Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD), airborne geophysical acquisition and processing, orthoimagery acquisition and processing, photogrammetric mapping, survey and control services including cadastral surveying and other services as needed.
