NGA Director VADM Sharp & NGA West Executive Pollmann to Headline June GeoInnovation National Speaker Series
ST. LOUIS – National Geospatial Intelligence Agency Director Vice Admiral Robert Sharp and NGA West Executive/Program Director, Next NGA West Sue Pollmann will headline the June edition of the
GeoInnovation National Speaker Series.
The June 2 online discussion, “Advancing the Geospatial Mission: A Conversation with NGA Leadership,” will be moderated by Dr. Stacey Gee Hollins, Dean of the Anheuser-Busch School of Business at Harris-Stowe State University, and will examine how NGA is evolving its relationships with industry and academia to help solve the challenges it faces in keeping the nation secure.
Discussing NGA’s strategy of making new connections to advance its mission, Sharp told the audience at the
2019 Geospatial Gateway Forum in St. Louis that “We’re bringing together geospatial thinkers from industry, academia and government to make those connections by meeting and discussing things we can do together and addressing what we aren’t.”
To help meet its mission, NGA is currently constructing a new campus north of downtown St. Louis. Pollmann oversees the planning, design and construction of the new campus, Next NGA West, which Sharp called a “game-changer for us as an agency and the community” because of how it’s being designed to include unclassified space for furthering geospatial tradecraft discussions. Next NGA West is scheduled to open in 2025.
“Advancing the Geospatial Mission: A Conversation with NGA Leadership” will be moderated by Harris-Stowe State University’s Dr.
“Advancing the Geospatial Mission: A Conversation with NGA Leadership,” will take place via Zoom Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. (CT) to 3:00 p.m. (CT).
