GUANGZHOU, China — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 18, 2019 — ZWSOFT announced the launch of ZW3D 2019 SP. It introduces new features and enhancements that directly respond to users’ requests and satisfy the needs of complex product development, delivering more robust and user-friendly CAD/CAM solution.

CAD

1) Enhanced Catia ^® /Solidworks ^® 2D Drawing Import

Catia^®/Solidworks^® 2D drawing import has been significantly improved. When importing 2D sheets, it can recogonize more line types and dimension types to bring more accurate importing results and smoother interaction with 2D data.

2) Friendlier File Management

File management gets more user-friendly. For file import, users can search subdirectories under the assembly, to prevent file missing. For file storage, users can set the default storage path in the working folder, to make file-saving more efficient.

3) More Flexible and Efficient Modeling

Some features have been upgraded to deliver higher modeling efficiency and flexibility. For instance, modeling rules for the Parent and Child operations have been optimized to achieve more accurate regenerative results. Also, when inserting components, the datum can be displayed, making it convenient for users to edit. Besides, Pattern feature can be applied to the assembly hole to speed up the assembly process.

Mold

Mold module has been polished to help users finish mold design with ease. When handling region analysis, the regions which are not connected can be detected, realizing correct region analysis results. Moreover, ejector pins will be trimmed at the assembly level and part level, bringing forth more accurate BOM table.

CAM

CAM module has been optimized to deliver higher efficiency. For example, more types of arc output, including Helical Arc and Spacial Arc, have been added to extend machining capabilities. And the Chamfer operation has been enhanced, so that the lead-in toolpath will be automatically adjusted to helical lead-in when the cutting space is smaller than the lead-in arc. Moreover, ”XY Arcs” is selected as default in Flat Finish operation, increasing the machining efficiency.
