Apollo Robotics Announces Early Access Program to Affordable Autonomous Drone Surveying Solution for Professionals

New Automated Precision Aerial Data Acquisition and Processing Solution, Delivered in a Fraction of the Time and Cost of Today’s Alternatives, Greatly Improves Surveyors’ Overall Competitiveness and Bottom Line

VENTURA, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — January 3, 2019 — Apollo Robotics, a leading provider of affordable autonomous drone solutions for land surveys, today announced the immediate availability of early access with its Apollo Development Partner Program. The new program is designed to deliver a fully automated, autonomous surveying platform for professionals. By combining multi-sensoring LiDAR, HD and thermal cameras with artificial intelligence, Apollo can quickly digitize and reconstruct any worksite into a highly accurate and instantly actionable 3D model from a single scan. Apollo plans to showcase its Surveyor Version 1 drone platform at CES 2019 at booth LVCC, North Hall - 9320, as part of the Techniplas Open Innovation Program.

The company has already secured more than $2 million in pre-order purchase commitments and is now launching the Apollo Development Partner Program for qualified industry participants. Qualified early access participants can purchase the Apollo Surveyor Version 1 drone solution for a one-time cost of $53,800 with FlightService mission planning software included for Development Partners. The program is offered to the first 25 commercial applicants to qualify. Special benefits to Development Partners include complementary delivery and training, free software upgrades and reduced subscription rates for data platform services, among other benefits. Interested surveying and engineering companies that wish to become a Development Partner can contact the company via this link.

“After several years of flying drones for photos, videos, and aerial photogrammetry surveying, Submar was looking to step up our game to the next level of precision and accuracy that our clients demand in the oil and gas industry,” said Kevin Foley, CEO of Submar, industry leader in pipeline erosion control. “Apollo Robotics and their hardware and software platform represent the holy grail of everything we are looking for. I cannot wait to get their equipment out on our job sites!”

“For the past three years, our team, working in stealth mode, has studied the surveyors’ challenges and bootstrapped a disruptive and affordable solution that is tailored to achieve scalable digital transformation of the surveyor’s business model,” said Rob Cammack, CEO of Apollo Robotics. “This experience has allowed us to fully grasp the very needs of lead practitioners and develop a compelling, user-friendly solution to most challenges of today’s surveyors,” added Cammack. “Today, our Version 1 platform enables the digitization of an entire worksite integrating mission-critical capabilities to deliver an affordable, surveyor friendly, full-stack solution,” concluded Cammack.

While the surveying industry has already begun to use emerging drone technologies, the total cost of purchasing and operating these solutions is prohibitive to most companies. Additionally, today’s process of integrating site planning, data collection, and analysis is complicated, labor-intensive, and lacks the required automated workflow that is needed to achieve convincing scalability.

“Autonomous surveying can be cost prohibitive, time-consuming, and require scarce expertise that is already in high demand,” said Avi Reichental, Executive Chairman, Apollo Robotics. “By applying and integrating deep learning, 3D digitization and multi-sensoring, Apollo is addressing this multi-billion-dollar opportunity by delivering the first ever affordable solution that improves a surveyor’s overall competitiveness and bottom-line.”

Apollo believes that by providing early access of its program to qualified surveying and engineering companies, it can jointly revolutionize how professionals gather, handle, and process 3D data. Apollo’s industrial-grade platform is fully automated, designed to fly unmanned, and is readily available for use on-site and on-demand, enabling professional surveyors to access premium aerial data in a faster, safer, more efficient, and cost-effective way.
