Dr. Lisa Su is AMD president and chief executive officer and serves on the company’s board of directors. Previously, Dr. Su held executive leadership and engineering positions with Texas Instruments, IBM and Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. She joined AMD in 2012 as senior vice president and general manager of Global Business Units responsible for integrating AMD’s business units, sales, global operations and infrastructure enablement teams into a single market-facing organization. She was promoted to CEO in 2014 to drive the company’s transformation into a high-performance computing leader. Under her leadership, AMD’s market cap has increased almost tenfold as the company introduced two completely new chip architectures and more than ten different product families, and is now poised to introduce the industry’s first high-performance 7nm graphics processing unit (GPU) and central processing unit (CPU) architectures beginning later this year.

Dr. Su has bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She serves on the Board of Directors for Analog Devices, the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) and the U.S. Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).
