2019 DAC call for contributions opens with topic areas including Design, EDA, Embedded Systems and Software, Autonomous Systems, Machine Learning/AI, Intellectual Property, and Security/Privacy
LOUISVILLE, Colo. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 8, 2018 — This year’s Design Automation Conference (DAC) illuminated profound and important shifts in electronics design, whether they were in methodology and tools, at the chip or systems level, or in cohesive commercial-government-academic partnerships that are breaking down old barriers to innovation.
All of these, which signaled a new era in systems design, were included in a packed, technically rich program that stretched nearly a week this past June in San Francisco. Building on that hugely successful event, DAC – the premier event devoted to the design and design automation of electronic chips to systems, where attendees learn today and create tomorrow – has opened the call for contributions to the 2019 DAC, to be held next year in Las Vegas.
Specifically, the Technical Program Committee for DAC 2019, under the leadership of the 56th General Chair, Rob Aitken, Arm Fellow, is soliciting high-quality submissions on design research, design practices and design automation for the Research Track, Designer Track and IP Track on the following topics:
- Electronic Design Automation (EDA),
- Embedded Systems and Software (ESS),
- Design,
- IP,
- Machine Learning/AI,
- Autonomous Systems,
- Security/Privacy
“DAC serves as the roadmap for the future of innovation, offering the semiconductor and electronics design industry outstanding education, training, exhibits and networking opportunities for a worldwide community of designers, researchers, tool developers and vendors,” Aitken said. “This happens thanks to the passion and dedication of the track chairs and countless volunteers and the tireless innovators who contribute papers, panel ideas and keynote concepts to each year’s technical program.”
The research track abstracts deadline is November 20, 2018. The 56th DAC will be held at the Last Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV from June 2-6, 2019.
Submissions are also being sought after for special sessions; poster sessions; panels; workshops; work-in-progress, tutorials and DAC Pavilion panels under the same topics highlighted above. All submission information details can be found at https://dac.com/call-for-contributions
About DAC
The Design Automation Conference (DAC) is recognized as the premier event for the design of electronic circuits and systems, and for electronic design automation (EDA) and silicon solutions. A diverse worldwide community representing more than 1,000 organizations attends each year, represented by system designers and architects, logic and circuit designers, validation engineers, CAD managers, senior managers and executives to researchers and academicians from leading universities. Close to 60 technical sessions selected by a committee of electronic design experts offer information on recent developments and trends, management practices and new products, methodologies and technologies. A highlight of DAC is its exhibition and suite area with approximately 175 of the leading and emerging EDA, silicon, intellectual property (IP) and design services providers. The conference is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Design Automation (ACM SIGDA) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer’s Council on Electronic Design Automation (IEEE CEDA).
Design Automation Conference acknowledges trademarks or registered trademarks of other organizations for their respective products and services.
