Harry Rubin Joins Kramer Levin as Partner and Head of IP and Tech Transactions Practice

October 7, 2018 --  Harry Rubin is joining Kramer Levin’s Corporate department in New York as a partner and head of the firm’s new Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions practice.

A globally recognized lawyer for IP strategy, transactions and financing, and technology commercialization, Mr. Rubin joins Kramer Levin from Ropes & Gray LLP, where he was a partner representing clients in global mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, financings, and IP protection and commercialization.

Kramer Levin Managing Partner  Paul S. Pearlman said: “Harry’s deep knowledge and expertise in technology transactions complement our M&A and Intellectual Property practices and enable us to provide additional industry insight to clients ranging from private equity firms and financial institutions to technology and life sciences companies.”

Mr. Rubin represents a wide array of businesses, from startups to multinationals, Fluent in four languages, he transacts business in German, French and Hebrew and has a long-established track record of running deals in the European and Israeli markets, in addition to his domestic work.

Mr. Rubin is a member of the International Bar Association’s (IBA) President’s Task Force on the Future of Legal Services and former co-chair of the Technology Committee of the IBA.

Rubin is a frequent speaker on his practice areas at leading conferences worldwide, and his book “International Technology Transfers (Kluwer Law International)” is widely considered the standard reference text in the field.

Mr. Rubin received his J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Harvard University.
