Winners of IDTechEx Launchpad Announced

BOSTON, April 11, 2017 — (PRNewswire) —

Turning a new hardware based technology into revenue is no easy matter due to the inevitable generational product changes whilst managing funding and sales and marketing at the same time. It's even more challenging for those creating new markets with the new technology, having to spend extensive time on business development.

In its small way, the IDTechEx Launchpad aims to help the best emerging technologies get international exposure to technology scouts and product managers from large corporations across many industries.

The IDTechEx Launchpad winners come from early-stage start-ups, universities, newly spun-out companies, and research labs or government labs. The winners have been chosen from all those that apply on the merit of their technology and all will be showing a working prototype or product at the IDTechEx Show! at the Estrel Convention Center in Berlin on 10-11 May 2017.

The winning companies have technologies relate to the most exciting emerging technologies including 3D printing, electric vehicles, energy harvesting, energy storage, graphene, Internet of Things, printed electronics, sensors, or wearable technology.

Each of the winners will be able to introduce their technology to over 3,000 key executives including product developers, technology scouts and integrators.

Previous winners have reported how winning the award has helped them gain great exposure:

"We were quite overwhelmed by the extent of business opportunities and exchange of these." Mr Nils Sveje, Bike2Aps

"The exhibition has been perfectly organized and it has been a very useful showcase for our new-born start-up. The product idea has encountered great interest of the other companies." Dr Francesco Guido, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia
