EnSuite Helps Large Scale CATIA V5 to NX Migration at Larsen & Toubro

EnSuite Helps Large Scale CATIA V5 to NX Migration at Larsen & Toubro Automated translation improved productivity and freed up resource time at Heavy Engineering manufacturer

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, Jan 10, 2017 - With the use of CCE’s standalone multi-CAD software EnSuite, L&T Heavy Engineering was able to free their engineers to focus on more productive and innovative activities.

EnSuite, a solution for sharing multi-CAD data across the enterprise, includes a batch translation feature that enables bi-direction translations between CATIA V5 and NX systems. Using EnSuite for the last 4 years, L&T has been able to automatically migrate large volumes of data from CATIA V5 to NX, which includes new and legacy CAD data.

CCE also developed EnSuite macros to meet the customer need of migrating instance attributes available in multi-domain CATIA V5 assemblies to NX. This significantly increased their productivity and reduced costs as automation replaced manual processes using expensive CAD software.

EnSuite is stand-alone software, which is used to view and translate 3D CAD data and provides quick access to critical engineering information residing in CAD files, no matter which CAD system was used. EnSuite can be extensively utilized throughout the enterprise, with the benefits of minimal training, as well as elimination of costs associated with expensive CAD license purchases. The software works with all major 3D CAD formats, including CATIA V4, CATIA V5, CATIA V6, NX, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, ACIS, Parasolid, JT, CGR, STL, 3D PDF, Rhino, SketchUp, IGES, and STEP.
