Game Change-HERS - Celebrating the Genius of Women in Game Art & Animation

A first-of-its-kind women's art exhibition featuring artists from major studios and independent contributors. Opens Oct 27.

NEWTON, Mass., Sept. 27, 2016 — (PRNewswire) — The Genius of Women is celebrated in Game Change - HERS. Includes industry-leading women artists in 3D, Animations, Concept Art, UI and effects.

Keynote:

Amanda Clarke, a UI Artist at Demiurge Studios. An accomplished designer and illustrator with experience in mobile media, animation, web and print.  She counts among her projects; Marvel Puzzle Quest, Lucky Super Slots, Healthyville, World Zombination and BMO Snaps.

Among the other dozens of artists to be featured:

Helen Duckworth: Senior cg modeler and digital sculptor, working predominantly in stop motion animation. Projects include Kubo and the Two Strings, Pirates! Band of Misfits, Box Trolls, and Hotel Transylvania 2.

Reiko Murakami: U.S. based concept artist and illustrator specialized in surreal fantasy and horror characters. She is a concept artist at Demiurge Studios working on Puzzle and Glory. She has also contributed to Guitar Hero 2, Rock Band, and Rock Band 2.

Kindra Haugen:  Concept Artist and Illustrator based in California. She currently resides at PennyPop working on the title Battle Camp as the Marketing Artist. Past roles include concept artist at Electronic Arts and Cinematic Illustrator at 38 Studios.

Svetlana Tiagi: Kyrgyzstan-based Freelance artist. She is currently working on the game Legends of the Cryptids.

Sze Jones:  Best known for creating heroine characters for video games and cinematics including Uncharted, Tomb Raider Underworld, Everquest II, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Mass Effect 2, Fable 2, Halo Wars and Warhammer.

"We want to turn the pre-conceived notion that the artistic worlds of game art and animation are predominantly male – or that the games you enjoy are being developed and crafted solely by men, on its ear," says Jason Donati, Dean of the Mount Ida School of Design.

The Show runs Oct 27 - Jan 13 at the Mount Ida College School of Design
