First public demonstration of joint solution at the Design Automation Conference
CALABASAS, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 8, 2016 — Ixia (Nasdaq: XXIA), a leading provider of network testing, visibility, and security solutions, today announced that Mentor Graphics has joined the Ixia Xceed™ Technology Partner program as a preferred electronic design automation (EDA) partner. This partnership results in enhanced verification capabilities for the Mentor® Veloce® Emulation Platform, and more specifically the Veloce Virtual Network (VN) App.
Semiconductor and electronic system manufacturers have rigorous testing requirements to ensure efficient delivery of quality products to market. These manufacturers require state-of-the-art virtualized tools, improved applications and security testing, and solutions that enhance the designer’s ability to debug system software early in a product’s lifecycle.
Mentor Graphics integrates Ixia’s virtual edition test solution – IxNetwork® Virtual Edition (VE) – with the Veloce Emulation Platform, via the Veloce VN App, to accelerate the verification of complex networking chips. As a result, semiconductor and electronic system manufacturers have the ability to seamlessly integrate an Ixia virtual environment into an emulation-based verification flow, bringing the powerful advantages of emulation to the lab environment. This allows the reuse of traffic flow generation scripts for greater efficiency, improved debugging, and faster time-to-market.
