Lavallee Brensinger Architects Receives AIA Maine Design Award - Portland Commercial Street office earns Jurors Special Recognition Award

Officially opened in November 2015, Lavallee Brensinger Architects' Portland office is the third New England location for the forty year old firm. The 2,200 square foot fit-up space allows for multiple modes of working and represents current thinking about workplace – incorporating both traditional work stations along with collaborative space and lounge areas. There are places to relax, think, present and meet. We also provided for touch-down spaces, for staff from other offices, to work with the local team and clients. The Commercial Street office is located on the edge of the busy Old-Port area of Portland and is set in the historic Baxter Building.

AIA Maine is a state component of the American institute of Architects and supports architects and architecture through leadership, advocacy, fellowship and design excellence. It was originally known as the Maine Society of Architects before becoming an AIA component in 1934.
