PDF3D V2.12 Release Brings Major Upgrades, Fixes and New Features

This is a brief press announcement about the PDF3D v2.12 major software release.

3D PDF conversion software leaders, PDF3D, today announce their new V2.12 release for PDF3D SDK, XML Server, ReportGen and PV+. Developers, users and fans of the software can expect significant improvements, corrections, and new features to all of the products.

London, UK, November 9th, 2015 - PDF3D, the developers of the popular 3D PDF generation and reporting tools, have released the latest software release V2.12 to bring their core products and plugins up to date with greater power than before.

The release is the result of nine months of significant development, effort and testing, including a large number of technical corrections that improve the quality and stability of each of the tools. Functionality also benefits from major improvements thanks to many new features.

PDF3D is a company that has become known for its commitment to its users. Developments and upgrades in the past have always been as a result of requests and feedback from the engineering, manufacturing, geospatial and earth science industries.

"Our products continue to evolve because of our customers' vision. We continually look for ways to turn their wish lists into features. We've always been keen to lead the industry rather than follow, and our customers help us to push boundaries on our software. This new upgrade is no different. It significantly extends the fidelity of 3D PDF report content and provides new API features for developers and integrators," explained PDF3D's Managing Director, Ian Curington.

A few of the key features of PDF3D V2.12.0 include:

  • Enhancements to input file formats
  • Hyperlinks from 3D Nodes in XML and ReportGen
  • Splitting large textures to retain resolution
  • AutoCAD DWG 2015, 2016 format upgrade with layers and materials
  • Major enhancements to OpenSceneGraph interface
