Bentley user Sitech Services BV provides manufacturing services for the chemical site Chemelot, a large industrial complex in Geleen, Netherlands, by managing and protecting the infrastructure and assets on the site. Recognizing the importance of asset information management in achieving process safety and asset integrity, Bentley’s APM solution will initially serve 12 of the more than 50 plants on the site. All chemical-related plants and installations are state-of-the-art facilities that, collectively, are worth billions of euros.

Josette van Doorn, director, license to operate department with Sitech, said, “Bentley is the only APM software provider that offers one solution that can replace the existing legacy systems at Sitech. Sitech regards integrity as a very important topic on the site, and Bentley is the only software provider who wants to offer reliability and integrity in one solution.”

The agreement with Sitech continues Bentley’s presence in the Benelux market, which also has relationships with SHELL, DSM, and ArcelorMittal.
