PipelineFX’s Qube! Releases Autodesk VRED Job Type

Artist Workstation Support Extends Ability to Optimize Render Farm Manager’s Path to Rising Visualization Software; Autodesk Insight Built into Latest Version

Los Angeles, CA, March 6, 2015 -- To satisfy growing demand in the automotive and design markets,  PipelineFX, the world’s leader in render farm management solutions, is releasing  Autodesk VRED batch render support for Qube!. Available for free to Qube! subscribers, the VRED job type now includes the ability to use artist workstations as render nodes, a feature developed with US automotive companies during the beta program.

With the new VRED job type, Qube!’s customers can leverage real-time clusters and workstations to achieve faster throughput while creating prototype and marketing materials. As the first render management software to support VRED, Qube! offers a seamless path from trusted visualization package to the final frame that has been road-tested by leading automotive companies.

“Pipeline optimization is very important to our users, so we’ve worked hand-in-hand with PipelineFX developers to make sure that their VRED-Qube! connection is a strong one,” said Peter Larsson, Senior Business Development Manager for Industrial Design and Visualization at Autodesk.

With Qube!, single or multiple frames can be rendered on each worker at once, cutting down on the number of times the VRED renderer has to be launched. Pre- and post-scripts can also be written to align Qube!’s prioritization and database intelligence tools to any pre-existing design or graphics pipeline.

“Automotive OEMs and their suppliers are rapidly establishing Autodesk VRED as their enterprise visualization tool, so they now want help finding an efficient way to manage their render queue,” said Michael Check, CEO of Linkage Design. “Adding Qube!, a powerful render manager, to our product offering, allows us to recommend a tested and valued solution.”
