BlackBridge Partners with Alaska Aerospace Corporation

Berlin,  November 25, 2014- Alaska Aerospace Corporation (AAC) has signed a multiple-year distribution agreement with BlackBridge for its RapidEye multispectral imagery. Imagery sales will be primarily focused on the state of Alaska.

Craig Campbell, president and CEO of AAC, had this to say about the agreement, “I could not be more pleased to announce our partnership in supplying RapidEye imagery of Alaska to customers. I appreciate the leading-edge thinking and futuristic planning BlackBridge is providing and programming for our mutual benefit. In this constantly changing world, having business partners who can work seamlessly together to provide the best possible data to customers is essential.”

Pat Gamble, AAC board of directors chair stated, “As a new business venture, this diversifies our portfolio and affords new opportunities to provide jobs for Alaskans. The AAC board unanimously endorsed this expanded business pursuit to increase Alaska’s role in providing data imaging services to the state, as well as to a global market.”

Brett Michelson, BlackBridge’s chief commercial officer said, “We are excited to expand our global network of partners by collaborating with AAC. Alaska is a difficult state to image, with demanding terrain and short acquisition windows, but the RapidEye constellation is well suited for this challenge. By partnering with a leading Alaskan company, we’ll be able to work together to create meaningful solutions to serve the state of Alaska and its citizens.”
