Serendipity Magazine presents Art Links, an international event that brings together artists from more than 10 countries, with works in all media: painting, sculpture, photography, installations, textiles, and more
ATHENS, Greece, Oct. 10, 2014 — (PRNewswire) — Assembling creative artists from more than 10 countries, Art Links is the first large-scale event of its kind organized by Serendipity Magazine. The exhibition is on view from October 17, to October 22, 2014, and features works across several mediums, including sculptures, installations, a distinctive selection photography, painting and even textiles. The aim of Art Links is to bring together, under one roof, all facets of creativity.Art Links is an international art collective; a community united through artistry. Its aim is to awaken the creative spirit in both artist and beholder, through art that engages participants as a connected society. The event advocates learning, and stimulates through exhibitions, and a diversity of artistic and cultural dimensions: live concerts, talks and workshops, involving participating artists, musicians, performance artists, and their audiences.
Art Links was created to provide the spirit of collaboration, a supportive environment and a public forum for art and creativity, to draw attention to the fact that every living moment is a creative one, as well as to share, to inspire and to spark creativity and ideas in our communities. The future of Art Links depends on the success of its first edition, but the goal is to develop this into an annual occurrence, with an Art Links exhibition every year in a different city around the world.
The event is funded through a stellar group of sponsors, individual donations, and a grass roots crowdfunding campaign, which is still ongoing via Indiegogo: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/art-links-athens-2014. Users may still donate to support Art Links and claim perks till October 15, 2014.
Art lovers can visit Art Links starting October 17, 12:00, to October 22, 2014, at The HUB Events in Athens: 5 Alkminis Str., K.Petralona, 11854. Entrance fee to the exhibition is 2€. The programme ( http://www.exploringacreativelife.com/parallel-events.html) includes both ticketed and free events. Opening day of the event is completely free. Participants will enjoy outstanding visual art, and performances by Greek and international artists, including Susan Norton (cello), The Swing Shoes ft.
