The Old Town Art Fair was scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15, and brought together the multidisciplinary works of 250 acclaimed artists and an estimated 40,000 art lovers. The festival's main gate is located at Lincoln and Wisconsin near Lincoln Park. Admission is free for kids under 12, and a $7 suggested donation benefits local schools, youth groups and neighborhood preservation projects.
"The tree-lined streets of Chicago's Old Town Triangle are something to experience, especially during the Old Town Art Fair," said Jasko Omervic of Planned Property Management, which owns and maintains a number of rental properties in the area, including at 430 W. Diversey. "Not only is there a wide range of fine art, but the fair includes a popular walking tour of some beautiful private gardens."
The Old Town Art Fair's Garden Walk takes guests through more than 60 urban home gardens. The festival also includes music, food from local eateries, and a children's area with arts and crafts activities.
For the first time, the fair also awarded a Patrons' Choice Prize. Attendees who made a donation had a vote in the prize, as well as the chance to win a trip for two to Barcelona. For additional details, visit http://www.oldtowntriangle.com.
